Pre-K Count and Clip Cards

Name:
Date:

Today I am practising: selecting a numeral after counting a small set

1

A card shows 2 ducks. Choose 1, 2, or 3.

2

A card shows 4 cars. Choose 3, 4, or 5.

3

A card shows 1 moon. Choose 1, 2, or 4.

4

A card shows 5 pencils. Choose 3, 4, or 5.

5

A card shows 3 cookies. Choose 2, 3, or 4.

6

Make a card with a set from 1 to 5 and three numeral choices for an adult.

Grown-up guide
  1. Use a clothespin, paper clip, coin, or a pencil circle—fine-motor tools are optional.
  2. Ask the child to touch each picture before choosing, even if the set looks familiar.
  3. Mix the card order on a second play so the numeral sequence is not memorized.
